CRRT in an unstable acute renal failure patient is NOT risk free.

An pet whoes owner expresses an interest in CRRT should be transferred as soon as possible.

The chance of a successful treatment increases with earlier intervention.

Attempt to leave at least one jugular vein untouched. No blood drawing, no catheters, ect.

It is important that a dialysis center be contacted directly before referring a patient.
